All services are provided by Washington State licensed dentists as well as certified dental assistants. The clinic follows Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
*For those patients with dental anxiety, treatment with nitrous oxide is available.
Methodology with Children
We attempt to do as many fillings at one appointment as possible to minimize the number of times a child must miss school and to help parents more easily plan transportation. While a level of efficiency is important to any clinic, we also realize that we are treating impressionable children, many of whom have never had dental treatment before. We strive to make this a non-threatening experience by establishing rapport, explaining what we do in child-friendly terms, and coaching the children in stress-reducing techniques. Many times our ability to positively influence a child’s attitude is as important as the treatment we have provided.
Qualifying and Obtaining Services
|
Who Qualifies for Treatment?
|
Lindquist Dental Clinic for Children provides dental services for children (0 through 18), regardless of income! Children who are of school age and receive free or reduced lunch may be eligible for Medicaid. If a parent or guardian is unsure of how to proceed, our staff can help.
We accept DSHS medical coupons, most insurances - including TriCare (with no out of pocket costs for covered services for families who qualify according to income) and uninsured children are seen on a sliding scale fee basis.
|
How to Obtain Our Services?
|
If a child needs dental care, a parent or guardian should call the clinic directly to arrange for an appointment. Nurses, health clerks or other professionals working with a family may want to refer the parent or guardian to call the clinic. The parent or guardian must bring their DSHS medical coupon or proof of insurance with them to the appointment.
If the family is uninsured, the dental appointment fees are based on the total family income and are on a sliding scale fee basis. Therefore, families are required to bring at the time of service, their total family's proof of income for one month.*
*NO CHILD IN NEED OF DENTAL CARE IS TURNED AWAY DUE TO INABILITY TO PAY!
